Unable to get Firecapture or Sharpcap to recognize camera

My recent attempts to get my camera to operate with Firecapture 2.6.08 and Sharpcap have all failed. I saw a thread by Covington May 29, 2018 referring to prior versions of Firecapture not working but I can't get the latest version to work. I have been reading hints, tips, etc and loaded multiple drivers. The only way I have gotten the camera to work is using the ASIcap capture program which allowed me to do a short video and capture. I must be missing a critical step but can not figure it out for myself up to this point. I could use some assistance. This is an ASI120MC-S. I have an Acer Aspire 5560 with AMD Quad Core Processor A8 3500M.

Firecapture creates a TXT log file. Try running ASI launcher of FC, then close it when it doesn't detect your camera and check/attach the log here. There may be like a DLL not found or something alike.

SharpCap or Firecapture must works if ASICap works

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that with the author Thorston E. He looked at logs said they looked strange.

In the meantime, I went to our Friday astronomy club meeting. A friend who is familiar with Firecapture and Sharpcap brought his PC with the programs loaded on his PC. We tried uninstalling and re-installing a driver and then ran the camera on his PC for both programs. The camera was found. I then ran the camera on my PC again. This time it worked as designed. Now I have Firecapture and Sharcap working on my PC with ASI120MC working fine. We thought there might be a USB port problem but after the exercise, it must have had something to do with my not properly installing the driver. My friend suggested it may be a "registry" problem with the camera which was worked out by running it on his PC with the good drivers. I'll take the resolution even if we are not exactly sure what the root cause was. Now out to the observatory for some attempt at Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

I appreciate having a forum to voice issues like this.
