Hi all,
That's a real challenge to produce decent images of Saturn from my imaging spot
in France, Saturne is less than 21° over the horizon ! :
Moreover, I choose the classical RGB way for this picture.
As I ever do, I use manual sort out of all raw images. It takes weeks
but in my opinion it's worth to do it especially in these difficult imaging
conditions !
I'm a little bit disappointed as the great storm is not visible. It's on the
hiden side of the planet...
In the field, Rhea, Thetys and Dione moons are visible. Encelade and Mimas
should be here but haze and atmospheric absorption cuts too much light and
they are lost in sensor noise.
SETUP :

Newtonian Orion Optics 300 mm F/D 5.3, on EQ-6 Mount

ZWO ASI 385 with Ir/Uv Cut filter + barlow 3x + ADC.
Acquisition with SharpCap.
Gain = 434.
Exposure time : 17 ms.
Frame rate : near 55 images/sec.
4 captures : 20300 + 24700 + 27800 + 34600 raws images captured.
Manual sort out.
Nearly 24150 sorted out and kept for registration.
Registration with AS!3.
Derotation of 14 composed images with WinJupos.
Processing and post-processing with Iris + Photoshop.
Moons are processed separatly.
