SharpCap Gain versus ZWO Gain

What is the conversion to go from the Gain that SharpCap displays, which is 0 to 600, on their slider, to the actual gain of the ASI 224MC, which goes from 0 to 350? (0 db to 35 db).

Is the SharpCap Gain, db? That is, 600 is 60 db? (If so, I would never use that setting, as it is much too high).

Or is it a linear correlation? That is, SharpCap 600 is ZWO 350, 300 is 175, and so on?

Unfortunately, the FITS header does not display the gain or offset correctly, which is an issue with all my ZWO cameras.

0-350 is analog gain, over 350 is digital gain.

under ASCOM, there is only analog gain there, digital gain is not support.

Oh, that's interesting. I assume this is the same with the ASI1600MM?

So what exactly is the digital gain, how does this affect the read noise? The curves on your page always only cover up to gain 300 (=30db, correct?)

Different camera has different analog gain limit, in ASCOM settings, the highest gain is highest analog gain.

And 300gain=30DB is correct.

I'm not software engineer, I don't know the digital gain affect the read noise, but I think it is not the important part.
