Issues with ASIAIR

Mount

No drop down list to select a mount is shown on the opening page.

I know the mount is connected as I can connect and control in Sky Safari.

After entering program, I can open mount control even though the icon is grayed out. After a couple tries I can get the dropdown list there, and select my mount. Then it prompts for position. After completing this page, I can return to the preview page and the mount control appears.

Trying to use the mount control in AIR is difficult as it is not very responsive. Keys either don't respond, or stick. Controlling the mount from Sky Safari is smooth and responsive,

Capture

After focusing I return to preview and set the desired exposure. When I click on capture it says exposing, then downloading. Upon checking the file with the icon at top right, I find the file empty. If I use the Ethernet connector and go to \\ASIAIR there is nothing there.

I'm not sure what the file icon on the lower right is for. Clicking it after an exposure it says saving, but there is still nothing in the file. I have used Android screen capture to save images.

Auto

When I go to auto and set up a script I can find no way to save it, or execute it. If I go to preview and click capture it doesn't run the script. When I return to auto, the script I had created is gone.

Plate Solving

Having never used this before, I am uncertain how many stars it needs to work with. What is a good number, or good exposure settings to start with?

there is a new APP coming and touch button is easier to control than before

only autorun save images, we never see script cannot run issue before

maybe you can save some snapshot and post here

usually bin4 and 1-2s exposure is good

Please clearify capture, just clicking the save button should save image to file on SD card? Clicking the capture button only refreshes the preview, but doesn't save?

I will try that again next time out.

our new APP will support EQMOD, you can use Synscan with your mount currently

you are correct that save button should save images both to gallery and SD card, preview won't save

still no luck;

i click the expose button (triangle)

it exposes & downloads

I click the save button (lower right )

it says image saved

I click the file button (top right)

It shows there is some data on the SD

I disconnect the ASIAIR and take in inside to my Windows PC.

I connect an ethernet cable from my router.

I open the browser and type \\ASIAIR in the address bar

it says "Your file was not found"

Is this a windows readable file? Do I need to use a program like I used to copy the OS image?

I figured out what I was doing wrong there. :)

Now my question is what does it do? I thought it would produce a number of subs, but it seems to be adding them. Did you add stacking capability?

Re: More on mount issues

When ASIAIR first opens it reads my camera (294 pro) as a guide camera, and main is blank. At that time the mount selection is active and I can select my mount (synscan).

Once I select my camera as the main camera, guide camera goes blank, and the mount select becomes inactive.

As I wrote previously, I can still add synscan by selecting the mount icon from the main (preview) page.

I don't know if this is the way it's supposed to work, or if it's a bug.

you need to switch to autorun to capture images in batch

about the bug in device selection page, we will fix in our next version
