IMX 235 is the ultimate "photons funnel" for nearly 4 years !
Big Pixel pitch 8.4 microns, ultra sensible sensor, good QE and ultra low
readout noise under 1.5 e- in HCG mode, there is no other comparable
color sensor on the market for the price ! How could we by-pass it if available ?
Here are the readout noise measurements :

But used in the A7s, it's great potential is stupidly restricted. These features are
lacking :
- Anti-amp glow circuit,
- Peltier cooling to reduce dark current,
- Do not use any bullshit "star eater" algorithm,
- Unlimited exposure,
what I'd be more interested in is the IMX342...
Color IMX342 is obsolutly not interesting ! Pixel pitch is only 3.45 microns...
A monochrome version why not, but does it exists ?
Far all these reasons, this sensor is THE priority for me. I still hope that a camera integrator
will free the full potential of this raw diamond !
