OAG connection

Do I need an adapter for the OAG to an 8" Celestron SCT? The adapters are listed but that doesn't clarify for me.

Good night...

I bought the OAG some time ago, but I hadn't used it yet. Yesterday I tried it with a cooled ASI 1600MC and my venerable ASI 120mm.

I put the 21mm extender to the 1600, and the 5mm extender to the 120 but I realized that the 120 was not well focused. I estimate I would have needed about 5mm more distance (a 10mm extender).

Am I doing something wrong or are my calculations not accurate?

I recently purchased an OAG and tested it over this past weekend. Have a look at this thread:

Sam's response is inline with my experience using the OAG with an EFW, 1600 MM Pro and and 120-S. I was able to get the 1600 and 120 focused outside during the daylight. So, so glad I didn't attempt it first at night! You could substitute your gear to make it work.
