ASI1600MM Pro Problems

My new ASI1600MM Pro is unable to operate reliably wit TheSky X, connected either via the X2 plug-ins or the ASCOM drivers. Many problems, including receive time-out errors (USB bandwidth set to 40), random USB disconnects, and simply no camera response. TheSky X is latest daily build, and I'm running a Windows 10 64-bit system with the latest OS updates. I really need some help here because I've tried everything I can think of. Richard at Software Bisque said that others are also reporting these problems, and to contact you.

Did you try another cable, and does it works well in ASICAP?

The cables I'm using are tried and true, but yes, I tried another. No help. Regarding ASICAP, the camera is detected (as long as it hasn't disconnected from USB), and I can select it, but I have no idea how to operate it with that program since it seems oriented toward video. All I ever see is a completely blank image screen regardless of the setting changes that can be made.

Is there any recent camera firmware available? From my experience, that's where I think this needs to go.

Did you try out ASCOM driver?

Here is the current status: The camera will not operate reliably on my PC when connected with USB 2.0. I installed a USB 3.0 PCIE card yesterday, connected the camera to it, and tested the system all night using the ASCOM drivers. It performed with 100% reliability, and the EFW operated flawlessly connected to the camera's built-in hub. While others say the camera works well under USB 2.0, I would say they must be quite lucky. I highly recommend that all users employ USB 3.0. Plus, the speed is lightning fast.

yes, sometimes we need to try both USB2.0 and USB3.0

or even another PC

maybe the issue is caused by the host side
