Hi everyone.
My first post here as I only got the camera a little over a week ago. Everything seems fine although I've only been out twice with it. Much more of an experiment using it and learning as I go as I've only ever used a DSLR before.
The 1st night, I just couldn't get my head around not being able to focus using live view in APT as I always used to with the DSLR. Took around 15 frames of the Wizard but as you'd expect with a very rough focus behind me the processing in PS was a bit pants but never mind, I've been out this evening and have used ASICAP to focus as I should have the 1st time. All a learning curve so no worries. The clouds started to roll in so I directed towards the Filament nebula and started 90 seconds frames, no guiding as I didn't have the time, binning at 1x1 with a 5 second pause at the end of every frame.
The camera worked through the 1st sub and expecting to start shooting the 2nd frame when APT just said that the camera was busy? This went on for over three minutes before I turned it off to try again. Went to 60 seconds and exactly the same thing. The camera was showing quite a number of stars in ASICAP so I knew that the camera was working in that programme. I checked the external hard drive where I was planning to store the subs and over 3 TB of free space so not as if I didn't have the disk space. I checked all the leads, disconnected them, reconnected them and booted everything thing up again.
Any help would be very appreciated as I don't understand why I was able to store some rubbish subs the other night and nothing tonight. I suppose I've either done or haven't done something pretty simply but was hoping that maybe someone could help me move forward.
Kind Regards
Dan
