Filter wheel remove / replace

Hello Group

Is the filter holder disk in the 7-36mm EFW easily removed and replaced? I would like to remove it in order to block one position to enable taking darks as needed. I would then replace it with filters and plug installed. It might make mounting the filters easier as well.

A wheel with one hole missing would be nice but my plan is to block it myself then test for light leaks.

Is there a better way to do this? Am I over thinking this?

Two questions for the group

Is the filter holder wheel easily removed and replaced?

Regarding the possibility of light leaks from adjacent holes, would that type of light leak contaminate images and suggest never to have empty filter slots next to the filter in use?

The plate is not easy to replace, if use filters won't be a problem, we provide masks for filters can stop leak.
