Dear forum,
I do not know if this has been discussed before. A search did not yield meaningful results, so:
A couple of weeks ago, our club obtained a new Lenovo laptop, running Win 10 to replace the ageing HP Win7 machine we have used since 2009.
I installed the latest version of FireCapture (64 bit), and the latest native drivers from the ASI website.
My ASI 224 took advantage of the USB 3 connectivity, and performed magnificently.
My ASI 120MM, however, hovered around 3 FPS, and produced distorted AVI files that were useless. Now and then, distorted, cropped images of Mars would appear.
I changed the USB traffic settings, ROI sizes. No effect.
Trying out the various USB ports made no difference either.
Image acquisition went without a hitch minutes later with the same cable and the venerable HP laptop running FC 2.5.
Has anyone on this list encountered similar problems? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Guntram Lampert
