I am interested in exchanging my current ASIAIR because it appears to be defective. I have had nothing but problems since purchase. This includes:
1.Continuous WiFi drop on either band.
2. Continuous camera disconnects, using either ASI120MM-S, ASI120MC-S and the ASI290MC (spinning wheel of death till reconnect OR restart the camera)
3. Crash of app both 1.0.6 AND 1.0.7 (more on this later)
4. Camera disconnect and spinning wheel of death when focusing
5. Refusal to plate solve (This is a selling point, right)
When I do manage to get focus, and run a test panel, by shot 9-10 of 60 the camera disconnects. Posting on the Facebook group allowed some assistance by successful users and a tech support guy. He assisted with some things before disappearing. That is a bad sign. He provided access to App version 1.0.7. Which of course solved nada, as evidenced by videos posted to the FB group. Setting up nightly to make headway with this thing is fruitless. I have set up indoors on a test stand. I currently have the ASI290 connected to a Canon 75mm lens. The ASI120MM-S connected to an Orion guidescope. I am setup a whole 4 feet from the device. Wifi still disconnects on either band. Basically issues 1-4 even on an indoor test setup.
It was suggested I refresh the card, which it did. After updates I was using firmware 1.30. Problems 1-4 again. I then rolled back to App version 1.0.6 and reflashed. Firmware 1.22 or something. Problems 1-4 continue.
I use an iPad mini 2 app version 1.0.6 and 1.0.7. Both firmware 12.0 and now 12.1. No solution. Additionally I connected to iPhone X, app version1.0.6 and 1.0.7. Both firmware 12.0 and now 12.1. No resolution. I am looking for an exchange of this hardware.. I am looking to get back to imaging, without the huge waste of time I have endured for far too long. Please send instructions on how to make this happen.
