I also use the same mount. I recently purchased the correct cable directly from the website of company that makes SkySafari. You can do a Google search to find it. It's a cable that has an RJ12 connector on one end and DB9 on the other. You plug the RJ12 into the hand controller and the DB9 into the cable supplied with the ASIAir. I used it a few times, but honestly I prefer using EQMOD. The reason is that you need to do a 2 or 3 star alignment with the hand controller first, which I found annoying and time consuming (I have limited sight lines in my backyard). With the EQMOD I just set my mount up in home position, use the feature in ASIAir to GOTO a certain object, then 1 or 2 plate solves always gets me directly centered. Very fast. I LOVE it and honestly faster than with platesolves in SGP. I had also read feedback online that the guiding was better with the EQMOD. I never tried guiding with the Syncscan, but so far my guiding with ASIAir and EQMOD is basically the same as using EQMOD on my laptop with PHD2 & SGP.
My general feedback for the ASIAir is very good. I love not having to go back outside to check everything and can monitor from inside my house, Using the ASIAir will be a godsend when I go remote because my laptop is clunky and I really need a new one. Once they add polar alignment, dithering, park to home and a few other features, the product will be KILLER.
