ASI v 1.5 for Mac what are the image saving formats

I cannot find where to select the format I want to save the images in.

I would like to save as tiff or png and not fits if possible.

Hi again. I need to add an additional concern when I tried to image a comet last night.

I set ASICap for RAW16 and the image(s) saved in fits format.

I could not find any selection for tiff or png files.

When I opened the capture folder, instead of a single 30 second image, it saved it as 38 individual fits files.

I have the asi185mc camera and want to save tiff format images. Does this app do still captures, or video only?

Hi Fivel, I am sorry that this problem bothered you.So far, ASICAP has no way to select image formats, only the default image format is available. The image format is PNG for 8-bit and FITS for 16-bit. The video format is AVI for 8-bit and SER for 16-bit.

Thank you Mouling for the info.

I also realized that asiCap does not save still images (ex. DSOs) as one file.

It saved my comet image as individual frame (fits) files. So for a 30 second capture it saved well over 40 individual fits files. Am I doing something wrong or is this not a feature for this app?

If it is not a feature, how about adding that in the next version? It would be great to easily choose between saving videos or still images, and add the tiff and png formats.
