I know this wont be what you want to read, but to be fair ... I pre-ordered the ASIair before it was a shipping product and even back then the website says (the first thing in the product description after "astrophotography has never been easier" reads:
ASIAIR is a smart WiFi device that allows you to control all ASI USB 3.0 cameras, ASI Mini series cameras, and an equatorial mount to do plate solving and imaging with your phone or tablet/iPad when connected to ASIAIR via WiFi.
(I added the underscores for emphasis).
It's always been disclosed that a USB 2 camera wont work with *unless* it's one of the "mini" cameras primarily used for guiding.
I realize it sucks that you don't have a supported camera. The ASI120 is available in a version with a "-S" suffix in the model and that camera uses USB 3. The price difference is minimal. Possibly you can sell your model and get the USB 3 version?
