I've just taken delivery of the ASI1600MM-Pro and I'm attaching the results of my first light testing. The image using luminance filter shows two very obvious blemishes (although the shape of the right hand one indicates it might be two spots joined together?) but through the Ha filter the blemishes are hardly visible. In the luminosity image it looks very much like something on the sensor, but as it is very faint in the Ha image, is this what you would expect of dirt on the sensor?
My questions are:
1 Is this dirt on the sensor?
2 If yes, where can it come from when you would expect a new camera to be clean?
3 If no, what is the most likely cause?
4 What can I do to remedy this (I am doubtful that flats would get rid of this on LRGB images?)
