Recommended settings for the ZWO ASI 1600 MM Pro

Dear all

I am looking for the proper settings for my new zwo ASI 1600 MM Pro camera.

What is the Gain level you would use? and other key parameters?

My configuration is on a Celestron Edge HD 800, with focal reducer, and monochrome only for the moment. To photography DSO.

Next I will add the EFW filter wheel.

I use KStars/EKOS on Mac OS X.

I guess the gain level may be dependent with the filters in use?

Please let me know the settings you have ?

Usually

HDR settings(gain=0), it's really good for DSO imaging, if you don't have experiences about gain settings, use HDR setting is a good option.

UG setting usually for short exposure, like 1min or 2min.

LRN setting for lucky imaging, maybe 1sec or 5sec or 15sec, depand on the brightness of target.

is this the recommended settings for the 1600MMPro?

I do not understand what you call HDR. I only know Gain and offset.

I am using the Kstars/Ekos.

Could try this,

gain=0

offset=10

this is HDR settings, will help your camera reach highest dynamic range.
