I've attached one of my stretched Ha flats. I noticed this after the last time out. So I have a few questions that some of the more experienced owners or Sam can comment on before I start taking the camera apart.
Camera is an ASI1600mm pro. I believe gen 2
I've attached a screen capture of my linear stretched Ha flat. The top right dark circle looks to be a dust mote on outside protective glass? There is an elongated moisture stain and thinking that is also on outside of protective glass? Last is a darker spot with a light center at the bottom edge of the frame. It's darker and defined shape makes me think it is not on the protective glass but under this glass, on the sensor glass?
1) Basic understanding is there is a protective glass exposed without unscrewing the top. If unscrewed you have access to the desicent tablets and the sensor which itself has glass on top
2) I see mention in the manual regarding a desicent tube. One didn't come with my camera and I don't see it listed as an accessory. Where do I purchase one? My camera body doesn't have a screw on the side but a black looking plug.
I know to first do an air blow to remove any dust from the glass in either location. Manual states to use Ethanol on the inside glass that covers the sensor but do I also use Ethanol on the outside protective glass?
Sorry for all the questions but as you can tell I'm paranoid about doing this right.
Thanks - Jim
