Usually, if you want to shot the dark fields at a different time, you only need to use the same settings, like same target temperature, exposure time, and so on. You can do it at any time. No need to take at the same time with light fields.
For our camera, if you closed it in the application, the cooling will shutdown. So for the next time, if you want to shot at the same temperature, you should enable cooling first.
