ASI 294MCPro odd cooler behaviour

We have a 294mc pro here at the company, compared to an other one of the same type the cooling fan immediatly starts running when 12v power and usb connection is applied.

After an imaging series of about 1.5 h the camera hangs during download, and the fan is off, the ASI Ascom driver then shows temperatures about 40 degrees celsius.

This is quite repeatable, after disconnecting and reconnecting usb and 12v power the camera works again.

Is this something that can be fixed via firmware, or do you think it is a defect in the camera.

Confused with your words.

Are you mean if you run the camera for 1.5 hours, during this time, every thing works fine, include cooling. After 1.5h, fan does not work, and temperature raised to 40 degrees, also could not download the images. Am I right?

If I am right, does the temperature changed step by step? Beside, please test it with our software, ASICap. And also take care of your connections.

Usually, if there is a hardware problem of the camera, it will failed at the begining.
