SGPro camera sttings

Greetings,

I own an ASI178MC Cooled, recently I obtained SGPro and have come up against a setup issue. In the camera setup window you are required to use two pull downs and enter Gain(value and e-/ADU).The authors suggest obtaining these from the manufacturer. Any suggestions or basic settings to go with?

Can you show us where it is with the screenshot?

Usually, this value could be obtained by the software, there is no need to enter.

SGPro and Nebulosity 4 both require the user to enter gain and offset there is no default setting. SGPro requires gain and e-/ADU for all binnings, I have no base reference if the only recourse is to experiment that's poor customer support as there is no documentation for a basic operation that explains these settings the documentation gain and offset is confusing at the least. Surely there is a base setting for 1x1 exposures and e-/ADU as a start.

Many cameras do not allow these settings so the question is mute for those I have had experience with. I am asking if ZWO recommends a baseline set. a suggestion?

Hi,

Like SGP, there are 2 ways to connect to our camera.

1st, by ASCOM. there are some default setting in the setting dialog. But you also could change them according to your needs.

2nd, by Native SDK. it is up to you. But maybe you can check this link to find our some useful information: http://www.stark-labs.com/help/blog/files/GainAndOffset.php

Somehow I missed this, as I thought My search of Stark labs was a good one, WRONG.

Also had folks at another forum point me to some good info. It's great to have these groups all of them are made up of first-class people.
