ASCOM enhancement

Hi,

Would it be possible to enhance the ASCOM interface so that Gain and Offset can be set programmatically without having to disconnect the camera (and setting manually ? This feature would be particularly useful for programs that don’t interface to the native driver.

Hi Robert,

Not sure what you mean.

Do you mean you want to control the gain in the way you control the exposure? For the current, ASCOM do not have this interface, so for the gain and the offset control, you need to call our dialog to set it. When you call our dialog, there is no need to disconnect the camera.

Does this mean that control of gain is indeed available via the ASCOM interface or that ZWO have not implemented that particular property ? If not implemented then are there any programs that use ASCOM and do set the gain by another means or is the ASI driver the best/only option to do this.
