ASIAir won't connect to iOptron iEQ45 Pro after latest update

Hi!

I love my ASIAir, but it stopped connecting to my iOptron iEQ45 Pro after the latest update. It won't guide, I can't use choose objects and GOTO, etc.

Help!

Apologies for the multiple posts - the website is really slow.

I upgraded this morning to 2.28 and it connect again!

And now it's not connecting again. Sky Safari Pro works, at least.

Hi sir

Saw the screenshots you shared，it seems the connection is ok with your IEQ45 pro.

There‘re a piece of advice and checkpoints

1 on the package Telescope Settings and ensure the Baud is correct with your mount when you attempt to connect the mount

2 the connection cable whether the interface is loose，check the power supply of mount whether it is under Voltage

HI Lancer,

Thanks for getting back to me. I think the serial connection is fine - I can drive the 'scope using Sky Safari with no problems. It's when I try to use the guider, GOTO an object, or sync after plate solving that everything goes bad.

I was talking to a tech at iOptron today and he mentioned that someone else was having a similar issue in the last couple of days with their CEM40 and they talked to someone at ZWO and got the problem solved. Can you tell me what the solution was?

The CEM40 was supported by the lastest version (firmware 2.28)

The protocol of “40“ has some difference from the “45”， i will forward your problem to our tech.

Checked again with your photo,the current"RA Dec"was not correct when problem occured,please check on your

hand_controller whether you can get the correct current RA DEC when you cant get on Air.

I have tested the following mounts including AZ_GTI,HEQ5_Pro,CEM40,CEM25P,ZEQ25,and no problem found(no iEQ45 on hand)

Hello Dan,

It's confused in previous mount drop list, since your mount is iOptron iEQ45,

in the drop list should choose .

So sorry about this, in next build - v1.2, we will make the drop list more clearer.

Hi Ji, Lancer,

I just got the boards and controller back from iOptron - they checked out fine.

Thanks for pointing out that I was using the wrong drop down selection. I just tried using the “iEQ Pro” instead of the other one and it seems to be working much better (it’s daytime so I can’t check guiding, yet).
