Nikon Df - internal error / Exposure Failed

Trying to use Nikon Df as main camera. ASIAIR can "see" the Nikon on the USB cable (e.g. can detect presence, prompts on connection the Bulb, M settings, sees the ISO setting).

However, any interaction causes the toast message "internal error" to appear for a few seconds. Attempts to capture return an "Exposure Failure" message appearing top of screen for a few seconds.

ASIAIR firmware latest - Version 1.1, firmware 2.28

Nikon Df firmware latest - C is 1.03, L is 2.00

Pixel 3 XL phone - Android Q beta 3

ASIAIR app from Google Play store - Version 1.1, update published 9 May 2019

Nikon Df was reset to factory defaults (two green dot button method), is in Bulb, Manual settings, RAW Large 14bit Compressed. Have tried with Mirror Lock Up set or not. USB cable is newly bought original Nikon UC-E6.

Weirdly, if I choose "Focus" from menu, I get *some* interaction from the camera, but it is not exposing correctly or returning any image. Every other action prompts those error messages to appear.

So....

1. Any additional information I can provide?

2. Any way to capture logs from the ASIAIR?

Update

I tried with an iPhone, same current version of ASIAIR app from the iTunes store

- focus preview works fine, streamed video allowing focus and histogram showing up

BUT

Attempts to make an exposure FAIL with same "Exposure Failure" toast message appearing for a few seconds.

A bit closer, but no cigar apparently.

“internal error” is Android system error code,our Android tech will improve it in the short term.

We will get an Nikon Df to debug in the near future.
