Asicap ST4 autoguiding

I just purchased the ASI120MM-S (mono) for autoguding via PHD2 but noticed there's ST4 autoguiding in Asicap V1.6.1.

How exactly does the Asicap autoguiding feature work? Can it be used for DSO? It looks like it creates a small crosshair at the center of the screen, but I cannot find any more information about it and haven't had a chance to test due to cloudy weather.

It would be great to have just one simple, easy to use program that was real smart, consolidating the best of Sharpcap and PHD2.
