Good morning.
I have bought an ASI071Pro and used it last week-end for the very first time.
I use it within APT (Astrophotography tools), with ASCOM drivers.
Pictures looked good, no apparent defects, amp glow or excessive noise. Very happy about it. Temperature was set to -10°C and preset was Unity Gain.
I have noticed that the white balance is quite off, probably due to the fact that the green channel is more sensitive than the other two. I am using channel gain @ 1 for both red and blue (which means no modification on what comes out from the camera).
Light taken @300s show a greenish color cast .
Flats taken @0.2s are completely glowing green.
If I tried to adjust Gains of blue and red channels to achieve a somehow gray flat picture, then the light frames turned out reddish.
Here "Gain of X channel" refer to as "de-Bayer X channel scaling factor".
So, I am quite confused about white balance.
Is it dependent on the exposure time (it shouldn't) ?
Which APT settings do you suggest for the red and blue de-Bayer scaling factors in order to achieve a decently white balanced picture (for both lights and flats) ?
Thanks.
