Dear all,
I am a happy owner of an ASI 120MM camera which I use for . I have tried hard to get my ASI120MM camera to guide through the ASCOM driver using the built-in relays via the ST4 port, but to no avail.
In PHD Guiding, it will correctly send guiding pulses via the ST4 port only if I connect to the camera via the native driver, but not using the ASCOM driver.
The same goes for Maxim DL: it won't guide using the ST4 cable when connecting to the 120MM camera via the ASCOM driver. Unfortunately Maxim DL does not provide support for ASI cameras through the native driver.
Bottom line: my tests clearly show that the ZWO ASCOM driver does not use the camera's built-in ST4 port for guiding. ?
My testbed is a 64-bit Windows 10 PC with all the drivers updated to the latest available version (up until two days ago). Selecting "ASI camera (1)" or "ASI Camera (2)" in the ASCOM chooser does not make any difference.
Is there a way around this problem? Maybe is it just some hidden configuration option in ZWO ASCOM's driver settings?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Emmanuele
