@asiair@zwo#40638 Well, the added complexity is zero, so that can't be the reason. Just add an "Algorithm" dropdown in the advanced panel to select Hysterisis (default) or PPEC.

In fact, it might even make it simpler, since you would reduce the tweaking users need to do to get good RA tracking.

Hi ZWO team,

perhaps you can think about an "Advanced mode" that can be turned on in the guider settings.
I think that you choose all the non-accessible PHD parameters automatically. It would be great if experienced users had access to these parameters for fine tuning guiding.

I agree. When autoguiding doesn't work well and you just can't do anything because there is nothing you can do. So you could at least add min. motion and guiding assistant as options.

+1. This feature would bring a great enhancement on guiding. It is not a gadget.

An advanced mode with few features like this can bring other people to buy the ASIAIR ;-)

I don't have the best rig for astrophotography (a Celestron CPC800 on an equatorial wedge) so I need all the help I can get and the predictive algorithm that PHD2 uses is a great feature of their software. I am looking at the ASIAIR Plus now, so if you would add this feature to the guiding I would no longer hesitate to buy it! Thanks for listening to user feedback.

Is there any update on this topic? Predictive PEC Guiding would be automatic and another game changer that could easily be implemented to further improve the ASIAir experience. Even for beginners, as the algorithms learns the PEC by itself and applies corrections unattended in advance.

Wouldn't it be a good idea publish your current backlog, let's say 50 top features/stories? not purely technical items and ones being tech depth, but new functionalities and bigger enhancements to old ones? so we could give you comments about their value and importance to help you sort order of them. Community can help a lot here.

PMTeam@ZWO About the backlog and the gathering of feedbacks, at my company we are using ProductBoard to collect and organize the feedbacks (about 700 feedbacks such as this thread per month) in a digestive way. It helps us a lot in priorizing our backlog while allowing to communicate on the status of the features (wether they are under consideration, planned in the roadmap, under development, release, ...) and it has also a voting component (that we don't use). As the Asiair's users are really involved and passionate people it would be super efficient to use such tool. Let me know should you want more detail in implementing it.

I do to would love this PPEC guiding feature as - like many/most of us - use a low budget mount this would be game changer.
