Firmware 1.5.1 - latest release and Nikon D810a / D850

Hello and good day, I updated yesterday my ASIAIR Pro with the most recently released firmware 1.5.1 and was very disapointed - none of my Nikon cameras, D810A and D850 were recognized anymore by the system. All are set to M and bulb as before, when everything worked very fine, also with 1.5 release. A waisted night, sorry, but this is not good.....any idea or solution?

It seems that with the last update, the support of many Nikon cameras, that where not officially supported but worked anyway was removed. I hope Zwo is now making a fast update that resets the changes here from the latest update.

I have finally found the problem and solved it - it is to my knowledge not mentioned in the new manual that one needs both cables together for the Nikon to make it work - the USB to connect and the shutter release cable. Both need to be plugged into the ASIAIR Pro and in the settings you can suddenly see that the camera is there and it works. I tried it today with the D810a, the D700 and the D850. The D850, I would not recommend because the files are huge and it takes too long for them to be transfered to the storage without some occasional problems. That means of course, that the storage of the exposures cannot be anymore on the large USB stick but only on the small 32GB one or on the camera, which I prefer anyway. But another small drawback is the fact, that storing the exposures on the camera´s media, it takes a bit longer than on the fast USB stick....but I can live with it...

IMHO this smells like a bug. Instead of both connectors necessary to "see" the camera any one of them should be enough to "see" the camera albeit with different functionality (shutter release for the release cable and full control for the usb cable).

Can ZWO please confirm this really is the case
If this the case and I need shutter release cable plus USB for bulb exposures, then I will skip 1.5.1 thanks all the same.
I have 2 ASIAir controllers and I need D750 and D5600 to work connected USB, only as they do now.
Can you confirm pls ZWO ? Should I wait for 1.5.2 ??

AsiAir Pro 1.5.1 Firmware 3.92 works with D850, D7500 and D5300.
Just tried it with only USB connected

So I have a D850. Am I reading this thread correct in that you cannot use the ZWO shutter release cable only? You can use both the shutter release cable and the USB cable OR just the USB cable alone for the ASIAIR to recognize and operate the camera properly?

I have a Nikon D850 connected to AsiAir Pro however when I try to capture any image I only get the message of Exposure failure and no image is taken. I have USB and Shutter Release cables connecting Nikon D850 with AsiAir Pro and I would like to ask you if is possible to tell how to config Nikon D850 to correctly having it working with AsiAir Pro because when DSLR camera is connected the resume of config seems that everything is fine but I only get the error message and get no picture. Thank you in advance.

filipe2747 D850 doesn't need the shutter release cable, please remove it, and close the ' EXP with Shutter release cable ' option in the ASIAIR app.

Question about controlling the Nikon D810- if we have the Nikon as our main camera - and connected to the ASI Air Plus - are all of the setting available to be changed via the interface. I am used to ASI cameras right now but looking for an alternative. Tried a cheaper Canon but I did not like the performance.

Main questions-
1- what options appear on the ASI Air Plus for a Nikon D810 and D810A? Can you provide a screenshot from the system for this. I think that this will answer most of my software questions.
2- I assume that the D810 will act like my ASI camera and center on the object with the go-to function (validate and recenter if needed).
3- Is the camera forced to save on the ASI Air Plus or can it save on the cameras internal drive?

DSLR don't support video mode in the ASIAIR PLUS.
Goto lies on your mount, same as ASI cameras
You can choose to save image to DSLR simultaneously in the ASIAIR App.
