anything related to guiding, I’m sure you have seen the shear number of complaints on guiding ... here and on your Facebook group/page.

It might be a bit kind/ reassuring to your Users if you said a few things about guiding. 🤷‍♂️

I have not been able to update firmware. As such I have not been able to use the device as it is frozen.

How about the ability to upload the log from a previous session? When you make a support ticket you're always asked to upload the log which is impossible for me since I do not have internet access in the field, and cannot reproduce the issue at home. Surely it won't be difficult to implement a simple "store log now" button so you can upload it when you have internet access again.

Message to the ASIAir team...... other than the IO/S (Ipad) platform any possibilities to include Mac O/S as a supported platform for your ASI Air Pro? Currently I am a user of your (Mac) ASI Studio App. I am very happy with it. I would prefer using my MacBook instead of my Ipad.

Apparently you are not aware that there are presently two apple laptop computers that run both ASIair and ASI Studio, natively. Because Apple is transitions away from Intel processors it would make no sense for ASI to develop their products for the Mac OS. Apples announced plans are to be completely transitioned from Intel in the next two years.
It is a great thing being able to run ASIair pro, Phd2 and asi studio as well as SkySafari on my new M1 Mac mini. The first generation M1 mini is a faster computer then, all but the most powerful 16” MacBook Pro, the Mac Pro desktop and the top of the line 27” iMac Pro.
The latest update of the OS Big Sur allows the ASIair app use ½ of my 24” screen, which is an improvement over the original release.
I would appreciate it if the developers of the ASIair software would add the ability to make the ASIair window adjustable so that I could use a quadrant of my 40” monitor for their app which would allow the rest of the screen for 3 other app’s to be running at the same time.
I think theASIAir Pro is the best comprehensive astronomy app available for the casual armature in astronomy but having the ability to run the full version of PHD2 and the Astro Physics mount control.

The combination with Skysafari is a really good thing. But i miss a platsolve confirmation when i maka a goto from skysafari.. The cordinates from skysafari should be transferd to ASIAIR so it can platsolve to point the scope where i want 🙂. Or a planetarium-function in ASIAIR-app would be even better. 🙂

lot's of users also waiting on compatibility with some of the most popular mounts of Celestron CGX & CGX-L (doesn't work at all) and SkyWatcher EQ6-R via USB (doesn't recognize as mount due to prolific driver too old). I really do appreciate what the AAP is becoming and it has amazing potential, but agree with many there are too many incompatible mounts and some bugs, errors, and simple interface improvements that are really really needed. I think a health release or two of the development team going back and fixing current capabilities, get the mounts working, update your core OS and add multi-star guiding should be the focus over the next few months.

Kring My CGX-L works very well through the hand controller. Where “doesn’t work at all” come from?

Agree with the above, though hoping that multi-star guiding and PPEC guiding get into a release soon.

Is there any guide cam binning support in the plan?

CGX doest work with USB direct, through SkyPortal wifi, fails with Starsense hand controller, and often fails a goto or complete a meridian flip, very often struggles with home, it’s missing features, and only operates at 9600 baud. None of that makes for “compatible” it .simply is a disaster right now. They need to work on CGX comatibility.

Kring you have a CGX-L mount?
Mine works ok. Goto’s work no problem. Meridian flip works no problem. Home is no problem. It works at 9600 baud rate, I don’t see a problem with this. I don’t use the starsense so cannot comment. It works perfectly with Nexstar+. Not the disaster that you make it out to be.
