Kring you have a CGX-L mount?
Mine works ok. Goto’s work no problem. Meridian flip works no problem. Home is no problem. It works at 9600 baud rate, I don’t see a problem with this. I don’t use the starsense so cannot comment. It works perfectly with Nexstar+. Not the disaster that you make it out to be.

gio You can enter a custom object with it's RA and DEC values. That should do what you're talking about.

GooE U r right but it's a mess in manual mode. I bought AAP for my comfort and that's the only thing I miss of multisession PC software that i still use for this purpose. 😄
