Target selection

I finally got a few hours of clear sky and got my ASI AIR PRO and CEM40 to shake hands and do some lovely guiding. 😀

What I am left with is a trivial issue, but annoying. When I search for a target and make a selection, the CHOOSE button to the right of the entry remains greyed out. There is no way I have found to change the object selected for GOTO to operate on. (Currently it's fixed at M42, but I have no idea how it got there.) Surely I have overlooked something simple and basic. I am working from an Android tablet.

Any ideas?

Once you search for and find an object (or a list of objects), it (they) will appear below the search bar.

But... you also need to click on the object that appears, even if there is only one object! Once you click on the object, that object will be highlighted, and you should be able to use the Choose button.

Hello, this is where you go into the library and search for objects, right?We have tested it, but your question has not been repeated. Could you please upload the log and let us have a look at it

Thank you for taking the time to help me understand the process. I have now arrived at a good place where I think I can use all the functions AIR PRO offers. It promises to make my astronomy more efficient and enjoyable.

Thank you for your speedy response. I have investigated more thoroughly and YES accessing the search library this way does now give me all the functionality I would expect (or desire) either through the CHOOSE button or by double tapping the selected object. The other route in is through the mount icon on the top row -> View Objects. This route does not work. Double tapping is ineffective and the CHOOSE button is now absent. Strangely, things seem to change. I feel sure the CHOOSE button was there before, and I am sure I have encountered a green CANCEL button on this page too, but it's not there anymore.

Mysteries aside, I now have a comprehensive set of functions. The only one I haven't tried yet is polar alignment; that must wait for another clear night. I am impressed by the ambition of your software and its implementation (even if I have stumbled over the logic a couple of times).

Just to be complete: did you mean the Update log? My latest update was 1.5.1.
