ASI2600MM vs ASI294MM

I'm considering buying the ASI2600MM Pro. What is the appropriate filter wheel and filter size for this APS-C camera? I'm assuming it's 36MM. I currently have an 8 position 1.25" ZWO EFW. Can I replace the wheel inside that EFW with the 7 position 36mm wheel to use with the 2600MM?

Another mono camera I'm considering is the ASI294MM Pro. What is the proper filter size for that camera?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the 2600MM vs the 294MM?

One thing to consider is that your 1.25" filters will fit the ASI294mm, so the cost to upgrade is just the cost of the camera. However, the ASI2600mm will also require new filters, so to upgrade the cost is significantly higher. Also the ASI294mm can be set to give 2 different pixel sizes so its like having 2 different cameras. Depending on your scope(s) this could be an advantage. The ASI1600mm gives a wider field of view. It also has no amp glow but the amp glow of the ASI294mm does calibrate out. Thats a few things to think about.

Thanks for those inputs. I think the ASI294MM 2.3 micron pixel mode might work well for lower focal length scopes below 500mm. I have an ASI294MC Pro and the 4.63 micron pixels work well with my ES127 952mm scope. I also have an Edge HD 9.25 and some consider the 4.63 micron pixels too small for its native focal length of 2350mm because it results in an image scale of about 0.4 arc seconds per pixel. Binning the ASI2600MM 2x2 to get 7.5 micron pixels might be a better fit for 2350mm, (image scale = 0.66 arc sec/pixel). For the filter wheel, I was hoping I could replace the inner wheel with the 7 position 36mm wheel and save on the motor, electronics and housing if I went with the 2600MM.

What do you think about the value of the 16 bit ADC for the 2600MM vs the 14 bit ADC for the 294MM?

I had considered the 294 as replacement for the 1600, but in binned mode the pixel size is too large (for me), and in unbinned the bit depth is only 12bit. So I skipped it. For me the 16bit is the strongest argument for the 2600. That's why I pre-ordered it, even though it means I also need new filters etc...
