Scooot Hi yes maybe but I’m not taking a video, just still images.
I have the same "problem" with an all sky camera (ASI183MC + Raspberry Pi "120-degree" f/2.0 lens + unused 1st version ASIAIR). At 0.001 second exposure and 0 dB gain, the daytime images are overexposed by a factor of more than two.
If not for the fact that its primary purpose is nighttime inspection of the skies, I would have installed a 2+ f-stop neutral density filter.
Perhaps the neutral density (ND) filter might solve your problem, though. Or heck, even use a narrowband filter (which should also reduce color fringes). I have a Baader ND filter that I used to use with the Moon, but nowadays, I just stick in a narrowband filter.
