Take the ApplePiBaker image that you were asked to back up from the original microSD card when you opened the box up back in 2020, and burn that image into a new microSD card using ApplePiBaker.
Once it boots, the new iOS app will update the new card to the new firmware version.
If you neglected to make a backup back then, or didn't confirm that the backup actually works, live is not as simple. Go to
https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/manuals/How_to_Restore_ASIAIR_OS.pdf
Follow step 2 of Preparation, and download the disk image. (Notice there is a different image for the v1 ASIAIR and the ASIAIR "pro". It will take a while if you have a slow internet provider.
Burn this image into an 32 GB or larger microSD card using ApplePiBaker.
However, unlike a backup that you make yourself, this image will not have a license file. You can either follow the rest of the instructions in the PDF, but if it does not work (they are on an extended vacation at the moment), you can simply copy the license file from your old microSD card to your computer, and then copy that file from the computer to the new microSD card.
The version of the firmware is v1.3. Just run ASIAIR with it, connect the iOS device that is running the latest ASIAIR app to the ASIAIR device, and the app will update the microSD card.
