Almach ASI174MM and tried running it with ASI Studio on my Macbook Pro. I get nothing
First, check to see if the Mac hardware layer can see the camera.
Open the Apple Menu's "About this Mac...". Click System Report to launch the System Information application.
On the left pane of the window, Select Hardware > USB.
A USB tree should appear on the top right part of the window. Search the USB tree for your camera. My ASI174MM-Mini (the one with the USB-C physical connector, but uses the USB 2.0 protocol) does work with ASIImg in the ASIStudio suite.
If you can't find the camera, try a USB hub in between the camera and the Mac.
If you can see the camera, it means that the hardware layer of the Mac can see the camera, but the software layer (ZWO probably uses libusb dynamic library) may not be working.
Restart macOS (or Shutdown and reboot) just as a sanity check.
If you still can't see the camera, try some software that is more reliable.
I just checked and both INDIGO's AstroImager.app and AstroGuider.app can see my ASI174MM Mini. Both are available as free trials, I believe (my copies are licensed from a couple of years ago, and still works on the M1 Mac Mini even without updating :-).
If you can see the camera with AstroImager, then there is something wrong with ASIStudio.
