Hello @tech@zwo,
I'm also an owner of the Astrotrack 360 mount, it will be absolutely great if you guys could finally support it!!!
Please add me as well to the beta, I'll be more than happy to test it.
Thanks.

Hi Ziv, great! Hope we will see it soon, that would be awesome!
Hi pogo and Ziv,
I will @you guys when it is ready.
Thanks, looking forward to it!
Today I updated my StellarMate with the latest Indi drivers including the new Astrotrac driver. It took me a while but the good news is, that I got it to work. Here is what I had to do.
I had to connect the StellarMate to the Astrotrac’s WiFi station. I then connected my IPad to the mount’s WiFi and started the StellarMate app. It recognized the StellarMate on that network. In the app I then had to change the ip settings to that of my Astrotrac and use port 23. That did the trick and I could control things through StellarMate, including goto’s syncs and slewing. I have yet to use it under the stars, but it was promising at least.
Now I am wondering if you could use an ASIAIR the same way, once the driver becomes available. Can anybody shine some light on that?
Thanks,
Peter
Any updates?
Oh, I do understand that, no problem. Thank you!
Just for info, with the latest Indi release, there is now supposedly a stable driver for the Astrotrac360. I haven’t tried it yet, but will as soon as I have some time.
So the guys over at Indi have been working very hard to get this driver to work and yesterday I had about an hour or so to test things out and I am happy to say that it indeed works very well. Goto’s were perfect combined with automatic platesolving, the guiding was good as well. All seemed reliable and stable. The WiFi connection between StellarMate and the mount was not without issues unfortunately, but that has nothing to do with the driver. There are a few guys over at Indilib on the forum there that are doing a lot of testing as well. Good to read for those interested. Now I went over to my ASIAIR pro for the polaralignment and focusing because it is so much easier with the ASIAIR, so hopefully we will soon have this driver available on the ASIAIR, that would be absolutely perfect!
Peter
Any updates from your side?
Hi, I was sort of hoping the new beta software would have the new Astrotrac driver, but I didn’t see it in there. Is there any way that you can give us an approximate timeline?
Thanks,
Peter
hello Zwo, I have been patiently waiting for Astrotrac 360 support. Would be nice if you could give us a bit more information about implementing the driver in the Asiair software. Could you please share some?
Hello ZWO,
it has been a while and I was wondering if any progress has been made implementing the Astrotrac 360 driver into the ASIAIR. Thanks, Peter
Oh, thats a bit of a dump! I also have an Astrotrac 360 and just managed to install into my obs. @pogo did you manage to get yours working with the ASIAIR? I read somewhere that it supports INDI drivers and there has been a lot of work done to make a stable driver. Are you running yours with StellarMate or with TheSKY?
Hi there, that is disappointing, as you indicated earlier that you would look into it. The Indi driver is currently working perfectly. But you do need a StellarMate or similar, which I don’t like as much as Asiair.
with StellarMate it works fine however. I haven’t tried the Sky.
@tech@zwo#54889 Can you please explain why not? The Indi driver is available. Is it very hard to implement such a thing?
thanks,
Peter
