EAA with Asiair Pro

I want to congratulate the team that has made Asiair Pro possible. It is the dream of those of us who practice EAA (Electronic Assisted Astronomy). Ease of use, saving on complementary materials such as finders and external planetariums and a very short time for setup all the equipment

For those who do not know it, the EAA is an astrophotography modality that uses very short exposures (30 seconds maximum), stacked very few times (with 15 stacks is enough) and without following-guidance.
I have taken this photo with an RC 8 "and Asi294MC with 15 exposures of 25 seconds stacked with Asiair Pro and processed later with Satrtools. Total time 6.25 minutes.

It is not a traditional Astrophoto, sorry for all the mistakes due to lack of exposure and guidance.

This is NGC 3430 is a 11th magnitude Spiral Galaxy appearing in the constellation Leo Minor. It is 99 million light years from our solar system.

Oh, right. I've been wondering how EAA differed from other forms of astrophotography. Nice images, gives a sense of size to the Universe.

The Whale Galaxy in Canes Venatici. Photograph taken with the Moon at 65%. Some detail is lost in the midtones.
I always use maximum gain and a UV / IR filter. This time the photo is taken with 18x25 second exposures and the RC8".
I use a Wi-Fi extender to be able to control the camera and mount from my home about 20 meters away.

make 100 or 200 out of the 18 photos. You will be amazed at the details that will all become visible.

With my equipment I would have problems, I do not do tracking or dithering and the stacks would go very bad. The EAA is something else, anyway thank you for your comment.
Some compare it to electronically assisted visual astronomy. The objective of the EAA is not to get a beautiful photo but to see celestial objects in direct (live) beyond the capacity of our eyes

Another celestial beauty, with only 6.25 minutes of total integration. It is not a traditional astrophoto either but for those of us who do not have so much patience it is enough. This is EAA.
Taken with the ASI294MC + TSOptics RC8 "+ Asiair Pro.
PD: Incredible Asiair, in less than 3 minutes it is already in station and starting to photograph! Congratulations again to the developer team!

Those look great! I'm just starting to get into EAA with the ASIAir Pro and am enjoying it so far!

I am also very happy with Asiair Pro.
My setup is very simple, a TSopticsRC8 "tube and the ASI294MC (uncooled). I am lucky to have a pillar in my garden where I have a SKW NEQ5 mount installed so I save the Polar alignment.
I use the Asiair Pro attached to the pillar to take off weight off the tube and have removed the optical finder as well. I leave all the cables connected except the camera that I remove every night.
1.- I connect Asiair Pro
2.- I go to a well-known star close to what I want to photograph. Platesolve and automatic and perfect centering
3.- I start to photograph

Total less than 5 minutes !!

I'm in a Bortle zone 4
I have done 3 sets of darks at 390 gain (maximum) with 15 exposures of 10, 15 and 25 seconds.
I am not very strict with temperatures, I have a series for winter (8 C) and another for summer (15 C). The chip temperature is usually 4-5 C higher than ambient.
My photos are always made with the maximum gain and I always apply dark, flats and bias.

NGC 4274 in Coma Berenices is a rarely visited galaxy and yet it is very beautiful. Complex rings where there is abundant star formation surround its nucleus and in a certain way reminds of the planet Saturn.
Picture taken with an uncooled ASI1294MC camera and 8 "RC telescope. Asiair Pro has done the work of stacking and saving 15 pictures of 25" of this galaxy and Startools has done the final processing.

Caldwell 35 the Coma Cluster; With an apparent Magnitude of 11.4, NGC 4889 is the brightest within the Coma cluster of galaxies. This cluster contains more than 1000 galaxies, and lies roughly 250 million light-years away. It is so large that light takes several million years to travel from one side to the other. The main cluster is receding at roughly 7000 km/s, while NGC 4889 is retreating at 6495 km/s.
Taking advantage of a clearing in the clouds, I was able to take 15 exposures of 25 seconds each and Asiair Pro took care of the rest. The window in the sky only lasted 10 minutes!
It is impressive to see these hundreds of yellowish dots millions of light years from Earth!
