ASI294mm TSX bin issues with TSX

Hi, I have a new ASI294mm which I have just installed I’m my observatory.

I connects to TSX through your ASCOM driver and works fine at Bin x2 and Bin x4. It will not however work with either Bin x1 or Bin x3. It goes through the motions of taking an image but nothing downloads and TSX hangs for several minutes.

I am using ASCOM platform 6.5 SP1 and your ASCOM driver 6.5.1.5

What can I do to fix this please?

If this only happens on TSX and you try other softwares through ASCOM without this issue, you need to contact TSX.

Hi, I have now tried using the ASI294mm connected through the above ASCOM driver with both Voyager and SharpCap. They also show similar behaviour the TSX only working with Bin x2 and Bin x4. Direct connection in TSX with the latest X2 plugin is no better although in a different way - in this instance only Bin x1 works!

OK Problem solved.
I thought I would report back just in case it helps anyone else.
After many many hours of "fiddling" I discovered that the ASI294mm would work fine (although somewhat slowly!) on all binning modes through the ASCOM driver with TSX if it was connected using a USB2 socket. This led me to question my computer USB3 sockets. I installed a good USB3 PCI Express card and hay presto the ASI294mm now works on USB3 and with very fast download speeds. Cheers BigAl.
