I will not join this group due to my concerns about the chosen platform.
Not for the first time the site will not expand comments, drop down comments will not appear.
I have tried using a VPN, but just the same.
This group is a major source of help for me so I trust ZWO can fiz this issue again please :-)

ZWO Help please.
This has happened before and it got fixed.
The replies in the Facebook Group will not open or drop down.
The last time, the fix was to switch to a VPN/Asia route, but this has no effect this time.
I am not going to subscribe to Facebook at any point. But I do 'subscribe' to ZWO and my rigs depend upon ASIAir.
Without a change/fix to the Group I am unable to read the responses andd solutions to common problems.

I hope you can respond please and enable ZWO users who are not Facebook users to read the information.

Facebook is a scam and insecurev platform. I wont use it. You cant sign up without giving all your personal information away and using your cell number so they can sell your info for profit.

That is why galactique complained that he/she could not drill down without an account. The portal that I listed is the way I drill down without an account.

Apple's iOS update today is the first nail in Facebook's coffin. Hopefully, Facebook will find legitimate ways to do business when a quarter of their ad revenue evaporates..

Not to mention the site you need to download their Android beta firmware, which offers "red packets" (check with your Chinese friends if you don't know what they are) when you click on the roulette wheel.

At least you are safe with the iOS TestFlight.

Except ZWO never keeps this Forum (on your own astronomy-imaging-camera.com web site) updated. Beta announcements are made on the Facebook page, and not here.

Currently, your customers have no choice but to go read the stupid Facebook page to find your announcements, at the risk to their privacy. It is not about "social habits," but how much people value their privacy.

w7ay Chen, you make my point. We have no choice.
Like I said, I am happy to subscribe to ZWO and their products, but that should not mean I have to subscribe to Facebook.
But why are drop down disabled in any case?? They worked OK for a long time, then stopped, then worked only if you use an Asia VPN, now they are gone again.

the comment drop downs not working is a facebook tactic to give you a poor experience if you don’t have an account. Their thought is, if you don’t let them sell your info, you are dead to facebook.

on my ipad my wife logged into her facebook to check something via safari. I haven’t been able to visit a facebook site for 4 months because they will only take me to a login page knowing the device once logged in. Haven’t figured out a way to ever get to a facebook page again.

It’s like how instagram and twitter don’t let you see stuff and cut you off after 1 minute of viewing if you don’t log in.

It opens and allows dropdowns to read comments , but one post only at a time. The UI is awful.

The ZWO response above fails to answer my question. I do not want to ask questions, I want to read what guys like Waterfield, Korcel, Connelly have to say.

Hint: don't directly click on "N Comments." Instead, option click on it to open a new window or tab.

I usually avoid any thread that starts with an image of a telescope or galaxy. Complete amateur hour and a waste of time. So, it is actually a good thing that you need to click on "comments" to expand a thread.

Not true, you have chosen a platform and forced Users to use Facebook.

you can easily maintain your own forum and keep it updated eg BBS (apart from the junk spam messages)

go look at cloudy nights and Stargazers lounge, they are dedicated forums for astronomy and you will have more visibility of your product there and better feedback not to mention feedback from User with lot of experience.

Facebook is only for showboating and obviously for reasons I’ll not mention here.

Almost two years ago I suggested that ZWO announce new products and beta versions of software on this BBS and the response of ZWO was "good idea!". I'm disappointed to see that this still isn't the case.
