soo - what I did and figgured out. might be also interesting to other users with USB issues:
a) I tried different length of ethenetcable [from 15m to 40m to the switch]
b) tried ASI Studio with direct connection [USB] - NO ISSUES
c) tried active USB HUB -> connected to MacBoom M1 Max -> connected to Parallels -> NINA [250 images from 1s to 3s w.o. any issue[
d) tried KSTARS on MAC w.o. issues [using ASI AIR, OPEN ASTRO, VirtualHere to bring the Data via Ethernet to the MacBook M1

so a suitable way would be to install an old MacBook/Mini outside at the gear or ...

zuts I also have a C11 Edge that I use with 0.7x reducer and with Hyperstar. Focus settings are farther apart than 60000 steps. I simply loosen the screws on the camera side of the focuser and turn the focus knob by hand until I get a rough focus on stars. Then I tighten the screw and do an autofocus. This technique is certainly not tech savvy, but it works well.

w7ay Chen, ZWO could solve this problem for us by allowing negative integers. If I need to go back 100,000 steps I could set the counter at 60,000 then enter a "goto" value of -40,000. ZWO could use simple arithmetic to go back to 0, then go back 40,000 steps more.

viperduude Thank you for your sharing and support, we relaxed the max steps to 600000, it should be enough for SCT now.
