iOptron AZ Mount Pro + ASI Air Pro

Has anyone tried this combo? I would like to try it for EAA. I currently use the AZMP for EAA using a laptop but I understand the mount can be controlled with the ASI Air Pro. Can anyone confirm that?

Also, if using them together, would I be able to use the GPS based alignment process with the AZMP since obviously polar alignment with the Air will not be an option for aligning the goto functionality.

castorpolu11 It does work, I used it successfully for the first time last night. I connected the ASIAir Pro to the mount body by a cable. It can also be connected through WiFi, but that restricts you to a 2.4 GHz network (mount limitation). You can use the GPS based alignment with the mount hand controller to start. After that is set up, then you can use ASIAir Go To with platesolving.

An additional question if an ALT-AZ mount can work with ASIAir, will Live Stack compensate for field rotation?

I have not been able the get my ASIAIRplus to work with the Ioptron AZ mount pro.
Everything works fine through the initial plate solving but all the object slews after that are WAY OFF target. Further plate solves are also successful but the slew problem persists. The Asiair appears to have thrown the mount alignment off <30 degrees andhe only way to fix it is to turn off the Mount, Asiairplus and go through the AZMP initial alignment process all over again. (I should add that all my slews with the AZMP alone or with Sky Safari are dead on accurate.)
Any recommendations on how to fix this issue?

If you're trying to connect with a cable, try setting the baud to 115200.

I got mine to connect with the RS232 cable connected to the mount (and not the handset) - and the baud rate set to 115200. Thanks!

I do remember that it used to work in the past. but recently I tried to connect asiair plus to ioptron az mount pro and it wont connect. I am using the latest asi air firmware and mount is set to "ioptron az mount pro & nnn handset" with connection set to serial and baudrate set to 115200. The asiair tries to connect and then an error shows up saying failed to operate mount and disconnects.

I have checked the cable. It works fine from a pc using ioptron commander, connects to the mount and slews the mount. The cable also works with stellarmate but I dont like stellarmate, its very slow.
