No cooling control for ASI071 MC Cool

My ASIAIR Pro firmware was just updated. I cannot find any control for cooling my ASI071 MC Cool. I see a slider for the dew heater, but no control for the cooling. I used to be able to control this through the ASIAIR app.

Also, I can set the Anti-Dew slider, but it doesn't stay set. I think there probably some other camera controls missing (resolution?) , but I haven't been able to use the telescope for a couple of months so I don't remember for sure.

Yes. I am out of town now but will try in a week when I get home.

I ran the camera using SharpCap 3.2 on my Windows PC and the cooling controls appeared and the camera cooled correctly. I then connected the camera back to the ASIAir Pro and still had the same problem of the cooling controls not appearing in the ASIAir app user interface. I used the same cables in both situations. The camera fan was running, so the camera was getting 12V power.

Are you using the latest ASIAIR app? There was a release note that it had fixed an issue with the 071.

That said, don't depend on a cable that works with one set of hardware to also work with another set of hardware. If the new ASIAIR app still does not work, try with a short (no more than 1 meter) high quality (thick) USB 3 cable.

EDIT: if you launch the App Store app on iPadOS/iOS, you should see "What's New" for v1.6.2 (firmware 8.11) say:

"Fixed the Bug with ASI071MC Cool."

v1.6.2 was released 3 weeks ago.

I found an update for the ASIAIR app and installed it on my iPad. I'll give it a try and let you know if it corrects the problem.
