Just got my beautiful ASIAIR Pro, and can't wait to test it.

Connected it to my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S10+), and now I see that the device cannot retrieve GPS coordinates from the phone, prompting me to enter them manually. Permissions for ASIAIR app in Android OS are set to "Location: Allow while using the app".

Please advise how to make it work. Thank you.

P.S. Controlling ASIAIR from iPad works well: ASIAIR acquires real location coordinates from WiFi immediately.

No hurry anymore, as I have switched to iOS. Need to say that ASIAIR Pro is a fantastic device!

Has this been fixed? I am using a Samsung A tablet and a Google Pixel 4a. Neither can automatically set the location of the ASIAIR Pro.

It's been awhile since this was reported. Any update on a fix? Quite a few users using Android. Location details fails for me on Pixel 5 Android 12. Samsung Tab A7 Android 11 using the Asiair Plus.

Not fixed as of yet. I still have this issue with my Android devices. I'm sure it'll likely be in the next patch.

Or not. Testing the newest version and it's still not updating.

@asiair@zwo#50499 Are there any updates on this? It wasn't fixed in the newest test version.

In the newest beta, im getting "Locate Failed: Code=4" when attempting to refresh location. Does that help anything?

        shadowangel Hi Try the following:

        1. Turn off the WLAN and use the mobile network to locate
2, connect the AIR bridge to a network environment
        2. Temporarily disconnect the AIR, connect to an available WLAN, and then cut back after the location is located

I'm also getting this error on my Android Samsung Fold 3. I'm not understanding the instructions on this. Turn off the wifi on our phone then back on, then we're supposed to connect to our home network router? Can you please restate the instructions more clearly.

I'm having the same problem with S10+ and S22ultra.
disconnecting from asiair's wifi; locating under 4g/5g and reconnecting to wifi sometimes work sometimes no.
Is very frustrating missing such a basic function.
Same error happens on latest beta too

Could ZWO give us an answer about it? this problem has not been solved in the beta, when will it be solved?

FYI, in v2.0, we will fix this problem thru a new API. Thanks for your understanding.
