hmmm - now it's working, 💪 I fixed it by deactivation of the driver signature ->
BUT it looks like that after a reboot (without deactivating the driver) N.i.n.a is no longer recognizing the Camera
doing the restart with deactivated driver signature again - all is fine again 🤔

Out of curiosity, which driver did you try ? (was it the one posted by @Tech@ZWO on april 23rd? ).
When I tried it I didn't run into any driver signature issues. Could you elaborate on why you did to deactivate the driver signature ?

hmmm - again - its working but also not. I receive messages that sometimes the image can not be load from the camera. that might come from the ASIAIR Pro I use as a middleware, it also can have the reason in the driver...

any ideas?

Its me again - I am facing now another error: Camera download failed ; camera at can not be loaded from the Camera 🤷‍♂️

Basically the driver works technically, but ONLY IF I start Windows on my Mac/Parallels in Safe mode, deactivating the driver signatures.... Otherwise no chance so far...

I also have ZWO cameras I would like to use with my M1 mini, M2 mini, or my M3 PowerBook pro.

The ZWO cameras I have are the new asi220mm mini, asi174mm mini, guide scopes, the asi585mc planetary camera, asi2600mcPro APSC cooled camera, and the asi2400mc Pro cooled camera. Of these five cameras only the asi585, will connect to the M series cameras. The other four will not even show up on the ASI Studio apps.

This has me wondering why the asi585mc will connect to the Mac but none of the others will.

Is there anyone on this forum with an M series Mac that will connect to the computer at all?

Or knows what is special about the asi585mc,that allows it to connect.?

aruckle What is the USB cable you use to connect to mac?
type-c to type-b cable may not work on some cameras.

Ok, I am reconnecting with the thread after a long time. My goal is still the same: running shapcap in parallels on a silicon mac (I now have an M2). And I now have a ASI294MC

Here is an update:

I reinstalled everything today (parallels + sharpcap)
downloaded the driver posted by @Tech@ZWO on april 23
driver install went through with no errors (the driver seems to be propely signed)
the camera is still not being detected :-<

Seems like the camera is not detecting the drivers:

Some progress:

in the device manager right click your camera
select 'update driver' and then 'browse my computer for drivers' (the search automatically doesn't detect anything for me)
manually select the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\ZWO Design\ZWO_USB_Cameras_driver\driver\arm64" (notice that the driver gets installed into the x86 folder and not the arm folder)
click next and eventually you will get this:

Yes, there is an error but at least I found a way to at least try to associate the driver to the camera...

Ok, so I did find out how to deactivate the driver signature and and and... it worked !!
My camera seems to be properly associated with the driver (I did reinstall the driver after reboot) and now sharpcap detects it.

Going to try everything out tomorrow and see if everything works as expected. I'll report my findings here.

sorry for not responding. I partly solved my issues (also deactivating the signature and starting Windows in Mode 7) but I still have the crash (USB/ Driver/ whatever...) and I also have artifacts ....

the vertical line across could be explained if you ended up getting one of Elon's satellites while stacking (happened to me a few times... I usually remove it in post processing)
the horizontal misalignments... it's very odd. It's as if your entire setting had moved (multiple times) in the middle of capturing a single frame. I have never heard of this. So maybe there is an issue with the driver here. Which camera are you using ? (and does this happen every time or just on this one stack ?)

On my end, I am happy to report that everything worked properly. Drivers for my ASI294MC worked properly with parallels and sharpcap was able to properly capture/stack images.

Note that I had to redo the driver signature de-activation thing (reboot windows in recovery mode...)

But after that, everything worked as expected.

I am working with the ASI2600MM Pro mono. I still do not believe that there is a hardware issue. I still believe in a kind of software error / read out error. I will now try to connect the camera to ASI Studio using my MacBook to see if there are also that artifacts.

Today (because advised by ZWO support) I took hundreds of fits - all 5 and 10s frames. You will not believe it: not a single artifact (!) What did I change? I connected the ASI2600mono directly to my MacBook Pro M1 and used ASI Studio for shooting. I than tried the same using NINA and had also no Problems and not a single Artifact. o.k. that was under "lab conditions" and its impossible to shoot in the night because I will not leave my MacBook out there alone in cold and humidity ... but if it would be a serious issue with the camera, the errors should also have been triggered.

on one side I am glad that the camera is not guilty but on the other side the initiator of the issues is still out there.
