Does the asiair pro have enough power to run two 1A dew heaters and power my asi2600mc pro from the 12v power outlets. Should the 2600mc pro camera have its own separate 12v power supply or is it ok to power it from the 12v port on the asiair pro? The asiair manual refers to the 2600 needing its own supply.
Kevin_A The asiair manual refers to the 2600 needing its own supply.
But you did write this which is what I was referring to. Anyway, try it out and see if it works. You may be lucky.
If the manual says ....
wvreeven it doesnt say… it implies a 12v supply but does not say the asiair supply or completely separate.
I power the 2600 from Asiair
stevesp I power the 2600 from Asiair
I wouldn't do that unless you keep the cooler at below 25% all of the time.
Even ZWO, as sloppy as they are, does not recommend it. See post #2 of this thread:

At the of the post they say to use the 12v of Asiair as additional power for 2600 I only connect the 2600, no dew heaters or the mount it should be max 3A and the consumption of the raspberry I don’t think I get to 6A in total

Your choice, but I wouldn't power any sensitive electronics from a PWM source.
2600 needs 12v or with usb only can take 2 sec. exposure and of course no cooling
I talked to zwo and they said… max 3A max on each of the four 12v ports and just make sure your inputs do not exceed the output of the power supply. So I now use a 10A power supply instead of their standard 5A power supply and can run 6 to 8A of devices easily from the combined four 12v ports.
