X2 plug-in for use in SB's The Sky and binning

Hello, are the binning choices in "The Sky" for software or hardware binning? When I connect the ASI6200 in The Sky it says I am using driver version 3.00 and X2 Camera Driver 19.3.6. Also, for the other camera control software choices out there (Sequence Generator Pro, for example) how do I know which binning mode is being used? I'm inclined to assume that if the program doesn't provide a choice to hardware or software bin, then the default is likely software binning. But you know what they say about assuming....

PS - I understand that hardware binning on a CMOS camera is not the same as on a CCD, but that is still the language I see being used to describe the different ways to bin. Thanks.

In our ASCOM and ASIImg, ASILive software, the default BIN is software BIN, only ASICAP have hardware BIN option.
Generally, we apply it to scenes that require high frame rates, such as shooting solar system objects. For deep space shooting, we recommend binning with software on CMOS cameras.

OK, thanks. I wasn't sure if the X2 driver would be any different, but that is likely based of the ASCOM.
