ASI6200 keeps disconnecting over usb3

ASI6200 keeps disconnecting over usb3, usb2 gives messed up frames. I run it over a fiber optic extender and ha have many sessions with this set up. I run a macpro 2012 with usb3.0/3.1 on PCIe. Is camera messed up?

When I had this error it was due to the 12v power supply not providing enough current. Are you cooling? Maybe you can check the power supply, that could be the problem not the camera.

I’ve had similar problem today with 294MM pro over USB 3, I’m powering over 12v mains and fan is running but ASIAIR first wouldn’t detect, then when I used the other USB 3 port then it would detect but refuse to connect.

I run a dedicated power supply that has constant voltage output. I even upped the voltage to 13.8v, no change. It will run on my MacBookPro just fine. The MacBook is a 2020 model with intel processor. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple and everything is working fine from a hardware perspective. We determined it is something to do with the software and or the camera an how it is interfacing with the MacPro. It does the same thiing too when running parallels and windows.

Hello, when you say you run a dedicated power supply, do you mean to this camera alone or to your astronomy setup? To minimize these issues on this camera, you should power it with at least a 36W power supply (12V, 3A) for this camera alone. I have mine plugged into a 60W PS (12V, 5A) and have not had any issues on any laptop/desktop I've used. It sounds like you have a custom power supply, but you might double check the power output in watts compared to what may be required for any equipment attached.
