EFW 7 Problem

The EFW 7 does not use correct filters. I use SGP to control my equipment. Did M1 12x5min, then 4x5min RGB exposure. All exposures turned out luminance, no RGB. The SGP log indicated the correct filters were selected during the run, but the filters were never actually selected. Any ideas on what may have caused this?

That’s happened to me a few times, the sequence will go on as normal “switching filters” as required but the EFW doesn’t actually switch the filters. I’ve found the problem in my case to be that I have my filter wheel connected to the back of my ZWO camera. My camera freezes or disconnects sometimes requiring me to unplug it and replug it, when I do that it doesn’t automatically reconnect the filter wheel even though it appears in NINA like it’s connected and acts like it’s changing filters normally. The solution for me is to disconnect the filter wheel in the software and then reconnect it.

I stop using the USB 2.0 Ports on our Cameras.
After reading this I am going to connect to my USB 3.x Hub that manages all the rest of my Hardware.
I only have my Camera using a Single USB 3.x Port on my Laptop and the other USB 3.x Port for the Mount and Guide Scope so not I am going to add the Filter Wheel as well.

Update:
I can now calibrate the Filter Wheel, I could not if I connected it to the Camera USB 2.0 Port.

I have my 7 position Filter Wheel connected to the camera and then camera to ASiair, the filter wheel does not change position per scheduled plan. Did I forget to turn something on in the ASiair. Last night it imaged only the first filter. I also have EAF, does that need to be specifically set up... As you can tell. I am new at this. Please help, TIA.

Alicja Please check your schedule first and make sure have set it for all filter positions you want to image.
Then check the autorun log to see why it stops to shoot other filters.

Tech@ZWO Thank you for responding. I did check the schedule and it shows the plan all checked ready to go. It also tell me how many images in total I have scheduled. Please see attached log, it shoes that the filter wheel fails to change to R. I have 7 logs and all of them show the same thing. I am sending you just one as an example. Let me know if want the other ones.

Alicja Thank you for your log.
If you control the EFW to each filter position manually, does it work fine?
There is a 'EFW calibration' feature in the EFW settings, can you please try that and test it again?

Tech@ZWO Found my issue: 0mm adapter on the 16.5mm spacer/adapter was screwing too far into the EFW and catching on the filters preventing them from rotating. I was missing the 2mm adapter (M54M-M48F). Now I have the 2mm adapter (M54M-M48F) on the EFW but I am unable to separate the 0mm adapter from the 16.5 spacer (I have used hot/cold/tool to separate, it will not). If I use it again, it will again screw too far and catch on the filters.
