@tech@zwo#52851 Hello, I obviously know this tool, and as you probably know, both cameras are suitable for such focal length... So this is not answering my question ;-)
ASI183MM pro: 12 bits ADC, 2.4um pixel size, 20 megapixels, 5496*3672 resolution, 15k full well capacity, 1.6e read noise
ASI294MM pro Bin1: 12bit ADC, 2.3um pixel size, 47 megapixels, 8288*5644 resolution, 14k full well capacity, 0.6e read noise
ASI294MM pro Bin2: 14bit ADC, 4.6um pixel size, 11.7 megapixels, 4144*2822 resolution, 66k full well capacity, 1.2e read noise
I inferred the 0.6e read noise with ASI294MM Pro in Bin 1 using the same formula here: https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/tutorials/everything-you-need-to-know-about-astrophotography-pixel-binning-the-fundamentals.html
ASI183MM QE: >= 80% between 450-650nm
ASI294MM QE: >= 80% between 450-650nm
So considering these specs... Is there any advantage (besides the price) of buying a 183MM vs a 294MM ? Right now, I don't see any...
