ASIAIR Plus not presenting an image in preview

I am having some difficulty in viewing a preview image. The preview button is pressed with a 10 second exposure. The sequence goes through the ten seconds, the bottom right indicates a scan, and the clock rotates in the center of the screen. At this time when the clock times out, the image should appear. Well it does not and the ASI app goes back to the desktop view of the ASI APP. When I use the ASI app and go to video after confirming all the cameras and mount are correct, the Ipad shows the image in real time. No problems; however, going to preview mode fails to give me an image. What is wrong?

Railfan_Bill Have you tried previewing with the BIN2 setting?

Let us know what camera you are using. I have noticed the same thing happening in older ZWO cameras I have like the ASI178MM-COOL, ASI174MM, and ASI224MC. My newer ZWO cameras: ASI071MC and ASI2400MC don’t have this issue. I have found that if you unplug and then plug in the camera again it fixes the issue until the next APP power cycle then I see it again.

Jsmithsd The camera I am using is a ZWO 071 MC pro. It is about 18 months old. I have no problems using it with the ASI Studio suite so I should not have any problems with it now.

Goldtop57 I just took your suggestion and used BIN 2 for preview and it works. I got a image on the ipad and it looks good. However, when I looked on the memory, it showed images in bin 1 and bin 2. The reason is that I set the autoplay to .2 seconds and 3 exposures in bin 1. I shot another set in bin 2. The bin 1 image was not on the ipad screen, but the bin 2 image WAS on the screen and like I said, both sets of image were on the memory stick. some success, but I want to try it on the mount and the guide scope, too Thanks for your advice.
